I knew it had been a few months since I posted here, but I didn't realize that it's been since the day after Christmas last year. What happened in that year? Quite a bit, but I'm not sure how much of it is noteworthy. In January, the little boys caught covid. In early May, I caught it. In March, the other half's position at work was eliminated and he got a better position with a different company. We never made it to the beach over the summer, but we did go camping and visited the aquarium. In September, the other half and I flew to Los Angeles to see Rammstein (we purchased the tickets in 2020, but the concert was delayed due to the pandemic). We celebrated birthdays. We lost people and attended funerals. Our house got a bit fuller when my adult daughter moved back in with us. We celebrated the birth of a new niece. What are your noteworthy moments over the last year?

Heeyyyyyy, have not seen you in a long time ! Let's see. Hubby had a roller coaster ride with work too - now he is back at the original company with a better position as well. My daughter is now a senior in HS - and son is in 7th. Most of the year had been relatively "normal" for still navigating through this covid world. End of September was hairy as my dad got very ill . . . October was a rocky road and then he passed away just over a week ago. Right now I'm just trying to catch up with everything and pondering the meaning of life.

@spiderdust Thank you. Yes, you're right - seems so many have left us "recently". Having a job you can count on is such a must right now, especially for Hubby - thank goodness that kinda stress is gone (now it's just the usual stress of the job ). Are you still at that high end grocery/health store? I have missed your posts about your "free" findings. You have the full range of ages of kids . . . all sound quite productive .

I'm so sorry you've lost your dad! So many people are passing away this season. I'm glad your hubby's roller coaster has had a positive outcome, that must take off a little stress at least. I've got 2 high schoolers and 2 elementary schoolers right now, and the 2 adult kids both have jobs (and one is in community college). One of the high schoolers is working too.

@much2say I'm still working there! It's funny that you mentioned the free findings -- I've made 2 posts recently about them! I was in the Los Angeles area at the end of September and thought of you when I saw a Bristol Farms!

Welcome back. I just recently came back too. I lost my sister in Februaury. The same month I also lost an uncle and two cousins all within a two week period. Luckily we have been able to escape covid so far but there are still lots of causes of it going around. We didnt get to go to the beach either over the summer and we only went camping once. Still working doing the same things.

I'm so sorry about all the deaths in your family, especially your sister. How heartbreaking! I'm hoping we might get to go camping one more time this year, maybe over Christmas break, but winter camping for us means cabin rental, and that's definitely more expensive.

@Happy2BeMe It really is. Also, I'm glad you've been able to escape covid! I have a couple of friends who have managed to avoid it so far too.

I am glad to see you back. I am sorry you got Covid. I hope you are all well in your family now. We spent all the year at home, my husband is not in very good shapes, he cannot travel long distance anymore. Well, we are enjoying our home.

@spiderdust - You are right, I wear my mask to go grocery shopping, it seems like a good idea to me too.

I think when one works in a higher risk place, like a hospital or a grocery store, it's just a matter of time before catching covid. I'm wearing masks again at work, even though we aren't required to anymore. It just seems like a good idea.

It's great to see you! I hope this isn't a one-off note and that you'll stop in once in a while. I was afraid something had happened to you or one of the kids. Nothing much going on with me... I'm still alive and bothering people on myLot.

@DaddyEvil Every time I bring home freebies from work, I think, "I should post about this!" But then I get home and get busy and I forget all about it.

Camping sounds fun. Haven't been to an aquarium in years. A new niece? How nice. Good to see you on here and hope I will see you more.

Yes, we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We have a pass there, but it's still 2 hours away from us. Going there is quite the event.

@spiderdust I feel bad about the cats, and miss them. And, the tropics aren't done yet.

You had a lot going on in the past year. I'm back too after a hiatus. I came back in October after being away since March. During that time, I re-published Legacy and am working on two books to publish next year. I'm also working on several others to either edit or finish writing. I had my first-year anniversary in my new apartment. I'm enjoying the activities here - Canasta on Thursday, and exercise class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I love the senior community atmosphere.

@spiderdust Thank you. I decided to re-publish it when I read it and saw so many typos. Missing words, extra words, and one legitimate typo. I love it here.

I found out I had Hepatitis C and I got on medicine to "cure it." It's now gone, but my liver is inflamed.

Oh, that's awful! It's never completely gone from your system, if I recall. I hope the inflammation goes down at least.

I can't think of any. I turned 40. If I had gone to see the band Chicago the day after, it definitely would have been newsworthy, but every friend/family bailed out on my last second. I don't know the difference between 2022 and 2021.
