When I have one light bulb go out, usually several others do too.
They are odd, though.
My ceiling fan had one bad one that was completely out, and one going out. That is out of four. The three fixture one in the office had one out.
No matter how new and improved the bulbs are, some go out quickly, even if they are supposed to last for years.
I have heard that is because someone dropped the box or case of bulbs.

That is one advantage to some apartment complexes.

@GardenGerty It’s a large overhead light fixture, the other bulbs I buy and change myself.

The light bar above the bathroom sink has 3 bulbs, two of which work when they feel like it. Changing the bulbs doesn't help.

I have some fixtures like that as well. One of these days I will get an electrician in.

Here it is a small tiny battery that contols the fans and lights...weird.

I chalk it up to having old wiring as well. For my house I think the old fashioned fixtures do not have what it takes to power the newer bulbs.

It is strange to hear ! There is something in what some talked about dropping the box or case of bulbs.

It is always possible that they have been mishandled.

My sister had some, and sent with me so I did not have to buy. That has a story behind it as well, and may end up being a post.

You got some good ones and your wiring is up to date.

I've never noticed that, no... But I don't fill all the openings for bulbs in a fixture, either. The ceiling light in my room has places for four bulbs in it, as do the fixtures in the living room and kitchen. I put two bulbs in each of the fixtures.
I have lost a couple of bulbs in the fixture in the bathroom but I think that was due to steam damaging the bulbs, but I'm not positive that was the reason the bulbs burned out.

I sometimes feel that way about the bathroom. I have specialty bulbs in one bathroom and they do not burn out, but in the other one they do.

And those doggone bulbs are so hard to replace! We have one flickering in a really hard-to-replace fixture in the hallway.
