I hope the day is good and this finds you fine. I am grateful to be alive and of sound health this morning. Nowadays malls and stores use different strategies to lure customers to buy goods in bulky and in larger quantities so that they can make better profits leave alone clearing dead stocks and get rid of short expired goods from their stores. So do you rush for the discounted and buy two and get one free offers from the supermarkets or you just live within your means and stick on your budget? Have a good day while my loting and happy earnings day

@Treborika Not really. If I am out and about and see a deal with something I actually need or want then I may take it up but otherwise I don't really take advantage of them. So pretty much sticking to a budget.

@Treborika I truly hope one day you live a life where you aren't stressed about money. I feel bad that you are trying so hard.

The only time I take advantage of "offers" like this is when they make sense to do it. In other words, if I break the price per unit down and it is genuinely cheaper AND it is an item I need, I do take advantage of the savings. But at the same time I find many of these offers also rarely provide any real value and so most of the time I don't take advantage of them.

@Treborika A lot of the time that is the case. A couple of weeks ago I got some chicken thighs at a phenomenal price this way.

@porwest That is the common strategy they are using for their own benefit

Mostly the offers are implemented to get rid of slow moving items that are approaching their shelf life expiry

I like to see if we have buy 2 get 1 free here. Normally it is only buy 1 get 1 or buy 1 get 10% off for the second item.

I usually do not buy the offer where you have to buy two, I buy when there is a reduced price on just one item and I only buy what I consume.

I have no problem buying from discounted items. As long as the item is still good and has not expired

Do you check the expiry date of the discounted and goods on offer

If the sale items will keep then I might be tempted but otherwise I'm pretty good at just sticking to buying what I need.

It's better to stick by your budget. Most good put on offer must have a reason behind it mostly clearing stocks
