A Day for Chores

I’ve done quiet a few chores today. I did laundry and while the washing machine was running I polished furniture, sprayed and wiped down all my glass topped tables and vacuumed floors. I also went out on the deck long enough to sweep all the leaves on the deck.
After the chores were finished I wrapped up and went for a walk. I walked the trail by the creek and followed the nature trail to Azalea Springs. It was cold but I pulled my bogan down over my ears and it wasn’t bad.
I had my hours walk and enjoyed being outside breathing in the fresh air. I came in and heated up a plate of veggies and spent a couple of hours reading The Oysterville Sewing Circle. By Susan Wigs. Now I’m here mylotting. How was your day?

@Treborika It doesn't last long until it's time to do all over.

My day was very mixed. We had some new windows fitted so it was really cold in here all day! It also meant me having to switch rooms to work while trying to answer calls with drilling going on in the background! We also had a visit from a police officer about something my son was meant to have done (the police officer didn't seem to know a lot but it turned out my son didn't even know the person the accusation related to). So that was the less good stuff.
On a lighter note, I received a £50 cheque from a survey site, and facetimed with my eldest son to make a plan for visiting him at the weekend.
Today, I think the window fitters are coming back to finish off. Thankfully, my work schedule has me answering emails so no worries about noisy interruption!

@RubyHawk Thankfully I didn't get many calls or any hard of hearing callers - that could have been tricky!
My son wasn't home when the police came. He didn't know anything about it until he got home and we spoke to him about it. Haven't heard anything since so hopefully that's the end of that.
This payment was the first from a site I joined less than 6 months ago. I don't get many surveys but the payout is good for each one. I'm on a few other survey sites that pay out smaller amounts but I don't do those often.
The windows are all done, and seem to be good so far. No drafty gaps like the old windows! When the fitters came out, they said the windows were really old (not sure how old as we've only been here 8 years).

@pumpkinjam I suppose the police found out your son wasn't involved. I had a scam call about my son but I knew he was all right so I didn't talk with them. My sister gets those calls asking for money for her son but she knows it's a scam.
You'll be much more comfortable with your new windows. Glad they got them in with no problems..

It is hard to work when so much is going on around you. Looks like you did well. I’m sorry your son had to deal with the police when he didn’t break any laws but sometimes it happens. Sounds good getting a check from your surv sire. I used todo surveys anddid pretty well, but I don’t get any good ones now. Hope your windows fitted well.

We were going to go out but ended up vegetating. Today we may go out and get our #2 booster shot and our annual flu shots.

The Oysterville Sewing Circle was a good book. I've read many Susan Wiggs and enjoyed all of them.
Sounds like you had a busy day

My audio geek friend visited me this morning. Then I did some work on by bedroom stereo system, trying to eliminate a low level hum. Then I did a bit of oiling on the speakers I'm working on. No work on my book so far today.
