I bought some scissors today! The speaker screens are now done.

As many of you know, my house gremlins stole my best pair of scissors last week, making it difficult to finish up the cloth screens I am working on for the AR-4s loudspeakers I am restoring.
Today, on my way home from another errand, I stopped by Michael's Art Supply and bought a nice pair of scissors. They cost me $3, plus tax.
I finished up the screens, made sure they fit snugly in the enclosures, and snapped the photo I'll attach.
All that's left for me is to oil up the cabinets. I think I'll blow off trying to get the tweeters to work right and leave that up to the next proud owner. I don't want this worm hole to get any deeper.
The cabinets are made of walnut (real wood veneer) and will finish up nice and dark. I have hidden the screens where Kitty and the gremlins can't get to them. Wait. Hidden them? They are hidden behind another old screen to the left of my left KLH 6. I'll check now to make sure they're still there.

@kobesbuddy Tell me more about this rule. All of my lighters are limon green. That's the color our cones see best. I lose them less quickly that way.

@TheHorse OH my gosh, you can't use scissors with a black handle! Only yellow or green, for what you're doing

@TheHorse .......Yes. I do this a lot. Start staying up later and later until I finally stay up all day. I go to bed early and then start it all over again.

So far it sounds like it's going to turn out great. My husband and I are staying in one of our favorite hotels enjoying their social hour, which will be in about an hour. So, there's that. I wrote a discussion about it. Scored some freebies, too.

When I was a child, the scissors were always going missing. So were erasers. There were other small items which seemed hard to keep track of. In my own house, I have about four pairs of scissors but we rarely find that they go missing. If one pair does, it's not a calamity. I have one pair of dress-making scissors which Vince is forbidden to touch. They are only for cutting material.

Ha ha...as adults, we get powers to dictate where we keep what we need. My father is so disorganized, and while I am absentminded, I do manage to have specific positions for specific things...so yeah, scissors ..don't go missing in our household...AS YET.
