Lists and More Lists

Happy Saturday Everyone! it's a rainy day here today and I have no plans to do anything specific. Just the usual Saturday.
I'm expecting a few things from Amazon and I'm hoping the delivery person puts the boxes further on the porch so they don't get wet. Half the time they put them on the step and I have to go out and get them and have no idea they even came. If they come up onto the porch at least the dog will bark and I know the delivery came. Probably a silly thing to complain about.
I'm making headway with my gifts especially for those nonfamily members. It's nice to have that done and now I can concentrate on the family.
I finally got around to making a list or I should say lists.
Nonfamily gifts and family gifts
Christmas dinner and a shopping list for the food we need. Plus sternos and baking trays for a buffet type meal. Appetizers and dessert
Ingredients for baking whatever kind of cookies we decide on but I think I'm going to keep it simple and not go cookie crazy this year.
Just thinking about it all makes my head spin.
I love this time of year but it can get crazy.
Are you a list person or do you just wing it?

I will ocassionally make a list if there is a lot involved..but as you would suspect, mostly I just wing it.

This time of year I have to make lists as there's so much going on and I'm likely to forget something important. Otherwise I either wing it or make a list and don't pay attention to it

OH so much to do. I never make lists. I might make myself a note in my email to myself.

I've never been a list person. Trying to read them simply made my head spin.I am a fly by the seat of my pants kind of person. When I lived at the Conklin Center, they tried to get me to write weekly grocery lists, which didn't fly with me. It took longer to write something I really couldn't read backk, then took time in stores for me to try to read those lists. In addition, I am in a manual wheelchair, the less I have to cart around, the better.

I usually make a mental list, that is usually enough for me.
When I go to the grocery store I need an actual list as I hate to return later for just an item or two.
I have to come up with a Christmas brunch menu, I picked up 3 packages of bacon that were on sale today, but otherwise I have nothing else.

I wonder if putting up a sign asking for packages to be placed on the porch would help. I think, most of the time, delivery people ignore signs... I know our mail lady ignores the one I put on our mailbox to ONLY leave mail addressed to our names... And printed our names at the bottom of the sign so there's no mistake about who posted the sign.

I'm a big list person. I like to cross things off as they get done...plus I can't rely on my memory to remember everything.
