If you dive right into the pond and let the water cover your head, it will only feel cold until you start to get out. Then you'll want to hunker down into the "warm" water.

For years, two of my friends and I went skinny dipping on January 1st. I'm speaking from experience. The water always feels warmer than the air after you've gotten wet.

The old wringer washers were good I think. My machine is good too. I have a front loader but each load takes over an hour. You can't do all your laundry done in one day or you'd never get it dry although, in fairness, I dry mine outside on a line.
