And in this corner. . .

Grinch and Santa

A few years ago one of the classroom teachers taught his kids how to make corner bookmarks. Recently I searched for, and found, the originals online. It is from a site called "Red Ted Art". I also saw some variations on the bookmarks. We had originally made monsters. Since it is Christmas time, I designed my own interpretation. I have the Grinch, and Santa for corner cover bookmarks. We do a lot at our school with the Grinch. . . promoting kindness, and as the kids turn in acts of kindness they see people do, a paper heart pinned on one of our Grinches grows and grows. One of my friends has suggested that we could and should make a snowman version as well.

When I was still reading paper and ink books, I made several bookmarks from the plastic tag covers Walmart uses. I used colored ink pens to write my name on one and, on another one, I drew a house with flowers in front of it. They worked very well. I have clipped the corners off of an envelop to use as corner markers when I was reading library books.

@DaddyEvil And here I thought of you as a saint. It would not really kill you too terribly to continue to read paper and ink books.

That is a cute craft Kids imitate easily with what they saw, not by our words. I once were a teacher, and I missed that job I love being around the kids
