Good evening from this side of the planet. It's going to be 12 midnight in few minutes and it would be Christmas officially. I wanted to write this post about Christmas eve when it's still Christmas eve. I hope it's still so when I hit the post button. Well, Mahatosava means grand celebration. That's the annual event of our apartment that starts from the day of Christmas eve and ends with new year celebration. This week long celebration could not take place in the last couple of years since the pandemic. And this year the celebration is back with the bang. You can see the picture here of the celebration tonight with the local artists. Thanks to Rebecca @Ocean Tiara for suggesting me to make a post each day about the same. I hope to do so. There was much more to the celebration today. But I would make another post about it as I want to post it before it's another day. So, wait for the part 2 of the Mahatosava Day 1 soon. And one post each day. I hope you don't mind me being a serial poster for the next few days. Bye for now. Merry Christmas to you and your family. It would be officially Christmas in another five minutes here.

@arunima25 Thank you. No, it's just Pretty and I again this year. Our friends moved trying to find new jobs after the pandemic closed jobs here. We stayed because I don't work now and Pretty works online.

Merry Christmas. Happy holidays!! We have three major celebration times in our complex. A three day event during Sankranthi called Sankranthi Santhe , Diwali Utsava during Diwali for three days and, this week long Mahatosava. Mahatosava is a week long celebration ( as it's holiday times) and it is a sort of our annual cultural function celebrating Christmas and many more cultural events. Ends on 31st night with a wonderful DJ and dance floor for everyone to welcome the new year . It's a great hit every year.

@arunima25 Just myself now. Family mostly in heaven now. Rest of family, decided, no gatherings, in respect for family being gone. So I treat myself to a nice brunch, watch Christmas shows and have lots of sweet treats like fruitcake, gingerbread Christmas cookies, peppermint bark and the like. Being here at mylot too is fun!

I totally agree. I always plan to post daily but then I get too lazy to do so. At least doing this would keep me motivated to post daily.. And this would be my first experience of reporting something in a series

The next day after Christmas, husband came down with flu. And then I got it. Could not attend the celebration but I have enough pictures and messages from friends to make a discussion about it. Will do it when I get some energy.

" Mahatosava" is a Hindi word and even a Sanskrit one. Maha means Great and Utsava means celebration or some auspicious event. It's a name of our annual fest in our apartment complex. It happens during this time when it's Christmas and New Year time.

Mahatosava is not a day..it means Grand celebration. We had a week long celebration from Christmas to New Year Eve. But we couldn't attend it after two days as the whole family came down with a nasry flu. I missed on posting.
