Down with flu

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 11:14 AM as I write this post. Sunny bright and pleasant outside. But I am in bed down with flu in the last two days. It first started with husband on Christmas day and then I got it after two days. Husband is doing better now. He has no fever but definitely cough and weakness persists. Luckily, we tested negative for dengue and covid.
It's better with the high fever today. But no energy to step out of the bed. We all are in separate rooms.
That's the reason that I was not much here. And couldn't write about our Mahatosava celebration. Well, I have not attended it after Christmas day but I have photos and messages flooding in our WhatsApp group to keep me well updated. Missing all the fun
.
Hope that I would be better. Don't want to bid farewell to the going year and welcome a new one feeling sick.

@DaddyEvil It's sickness in the air these days. We see many down with flu around us. I didn't go to work today. The child that was scheduled for today's session is sick. Our neighbours are down with nasty flu.
I am also spending some time on other sites that I have been neglecting so far.

I don't take honey as I am diabetic. Ginger and lemon tea is a part or our daily routine to boost up immunity.

@arunima25 thanks Arunimaji I am suffering from cough and throat congestion for a week. My wife also has the same. It has happened due to frequent change of weather. The anti-biotics that are given by doctor had just added to weakness.

Oh! I have. I got it around Christmas and the fever was only for two days. But the nasty tiredness and exhaustion lasted for more than two weeks. We all got it in the family and it was terrible.

My elder daughter was away in her college campus at that time. She was okay. Younger one was here and she got it from us, right before her exams. Glad that she was better in time and could write her exams.

Wish you the best of health soon.
Here also, we all have had bouts of cold, cough and fever.
Recovery has taken longer and in some ways, we all had it all almost twice with varying intensity.
In fact, the kids at school have been the worst affected with sometimes up to 60% class on off!
Other parents too are talking about Flu and sickness circulating in the family.
Now nobody is sure if it is Pre-Covid or Covid Flu or something else.
The sudden cold chill for a few days also did not help.
Sometimes, one gets exerted for things that have to be done but one does not have much energy so I can understand your situation as well.
Anyways Happy New Year 2023!

Well, my doctor said that be it Covid or not, the treatment follows the symptoms. So, we just followed what he said.

@arunima25 I am so sorry your family was in such bad shape during the holidays. Now you all need to rest to fully recover.
Since the year started my husband is going through hospital tests and analysis. We are waiting now for the results of a CT-Scan and we will see his doctor the coming Wednesday. He is not very well. Thanks for asking.
