Happy New Year everyone. I hope you had a great start to your new year. It was a fantastic weekend here. I couldn't stay up to welcome in the new year as I usually do. I was falling asleep by 10:30 watching the festivities from Times Square. I didn't get my nap so I could stay up as late. However, I did get my laundry done, spent time here on Saturday, and had a lot of fun at the New Year's Eve celebration in the community room. Yesterday was a great start to the new year with a win by the Packers over the Minnesota Vikings 41-17. We only need to beat the Detroit Lions next week to make it into the playoffs. With the way the season went this year, I didn't think we would have a chance at the playoffs. Now, we do. It was an amazing game yesterday. So, what are my plans for today? No YWCA as I expected. It's closed due to the observance of New Year's Day. I'll need to wait until next Monday as the weather for the rest of the week will be hazardous for driving. We're expecting ice, not snow. Well, snow too after the ice. So, it will not be a good day tomorrow to think about going to the pool. The rest of the week is also wet. I will have an exercise group at 8:30 and I plan to get on the bike for a good workout. After that, I don't have any firm plans. Though I need to start work on Where Eagles Soar to get it ready to publish. That's it. A mostly relaxing day. What about you? How is your day shaping up? How was your New Year's Day?
