I have one younger sister and we are 4 years apart in age I feel my mother treats us differently if for me my mother strictly forbids it but if my sister allows it Is every mother the same way she treats their children?

No, it is only in your thoughts. Every mother loves their daughter. But she kbows what is best for their daughter, so she treat them in different ways I am a mother of three children, I know how you feel because my daughter often jealous with her siblings

Not every mother is that way. I won't say that I treat my children all the same because I don't. I treat them fairly. They're different people, different ages, different personalities. Saying that, I do not favour any one of them of the other. There can be good reasons for treating children differently - e.g. there is a 5 year age gap between my 2 sons. When one was 12 and the other was 17, of course they had different rules due to their age - more freedom for the older one, etc. but I would certainly never tell the younger one he could do something if I'd told the older one he couldn't. That doesn't really make any sense.

Hello Yesinta, welcome to Mylot, hope you enjoy being here like us. Talking about mother treats you differently, your mom loves you very much, but as the 1st child she want to teach you how to face the world, you have to be strong and be a good big sister figure to your lil sis. You will thank your mom later, after so many years, trust me

Maybe it's true that my mother did this for my good, but I just couldn't accept it

I am a mother. but treat the child the same. sometimes if we haven't felt being a mother. thoughts are differentiated there must be. I was also the same when my parents treated me as a child.

My mother always favored my younger brother, she had never been the same for us.

I'm sure your mother treats both of you fairly according to your personality.

Sometimes one child does seem to be a favourite. It's sad when that happens.

I have one sister, she is younger but I never felt that my parents treat us differently. Now I have one son and one daughter and treat them the same.
