Leg-warmers are back!

I remember when leg warmers first became a ‘thing’ back in the 1980s. I guess that’s when I acquired these, although I don’t remember wearing them much for their intended purpose. They mostly stayed in a drawer until several years later when I used to ride motorbikes, I put them over my knees, in between several other layers, as an extra layer of warmth in winter. I seem to remember that leg-warmers made a brief re-appearance some years ago, but now I’ve noticed that they’re back again! When I was in town the other week I saw three people wearing them in just one brief visit! That prompted me to fish mine back out again and I have been wearing them at home, where I often find that my ankles are cold when I’m sitting writing for extended periods. But if they’re trendy again that also means I won’t have to worry about remembering to take them off before I leave the house! In fact now that I have finally finished the jumper I was knitting, maybe some colourful leg warmers for the girls could be the next project?
