His Mom Told Him He Would Die First

I know a guy who does handy man work in the neighborhood. He does it well and charges reasonably too. I am more of a "breaker" than a "fixer," so I have employed his services several times. I'll call him "George" here, he is about 53 or so. We were talking while he was installing some new flooring in the kitchen. He has mentioned before that his mother is clairvoyant, sees things in dreams, knows they will happen. Well, his mom told that she had been up there in "heaven" in a dream, visiting dead relatives & friends and that she saw George walk by. So, she told him recently that he would die before she did. Why a mother would report this "news" to her son, I can't imagine. Why George would believe such weirdness is even stanger, but he seems to take it at face value. He complained of a pain in his kidney are, said he'd see a doctor next week if it wasn't better. I hope George doesn't talk himself in to dying too young. Do you believe in clairvoyants? Would you accept such news as this from someone?

I don´t think so. But anyway, I would not trust a mother that gives that sort of news to her son.

Nor would I. It just seems weird for her to do that and for him to accept it too.

Maybe she told him so that he organizes things for his family. I am told I will die before 75. I hope I do. I don't want to have others serve me.

75 seems pretty young today. I am well past that and don't need anyone to help yet.

I do not feel that fortune tellers are very credible. I do hope George looks after himself and sees his doctor.

Me too. He's a pretty nice guy and a good fix-it man too.

I hope he doesn't talk himself into it too. I do believe in clairvoyance. My grandmother had this gift and she was right about things several times. My grandson is also. I am thinking that this man's mother was trying to alert him because she is a concerned mother but, I hope it doesn't make him too paranoid. People are only human and don't always use the tact and words they should in such situations. I wonder what we might do in the same situation.

I can't imagine a mother saying something like that to her child. I don't believe in fortune tellers. I don't believe anyone knows the future.

@JamesHxstatic I don't believe there is any real evidence. Do you remember the guy that tried to prove there was evidence that seers actually could see the future. His name was James something, that was his first or last name .He investigated any number of clairvoyants and could find no evidence they could actually see into the future.

A clairvoyant had told my husband that he would die unexpectedly in this house and it came out to be true. I however haven't met such people.

Not sure, unfortunately though the mind is a powerful thing. If George thinks he is going to die young he probably will

That was mean of that mother to blurt out something that a mother would never do

Yes, It was a strange thing to even hear him tell me. But he wasn't upset about it.

I'd take it, (like I do most things) with a grain of salt. Given what "George" does for a living, he is at higher risk for a work place accident. So, there could be some grain of truth, I don't really know.

I really can’t believe that a mother would tell her child such a thing. I feel bad for George. I hope that he’ll be okay.

How sad for George. And what was this mother thinking I wonder. I believe there is something out there other than us, but not sure what it is yet.

I have a friend who says she "sees things" before they happen. Of course, she said she saw that Donald Trump would be president again leading up to the 2020 elections. Maybe she got it confused with the 2024 elections? I don't know if I believe in it or not. So far she is the only one that has told me she is clairvoyant and I haven't seen it come true yet!

Well, I'm glad she missed that Trump prediction. I would like to predict that he'll go to prison, but I'm not clairvoyant.

Wow that mom may have some mental issues. He may accept how she is but not believe it. I just hope he doesn't talk himself into dying early. The mind can be so powerful.
