Two surgeries down, one more to go

I had the second breast cancer surgery yesterday with more tissue removed and one lymph node which showed no sign of cancer! So thankful. He inserted a port for chemo, now on to lung surgery in two weeks. Chemo and radiation to start at some point.
I feel fairly okay today with pain meds. Neighbors have been bringing food and we picked up some Chinese take out yesterday for lunch today.
The surgery yesterday was at an out patient surgi center, but the lung surgery will be at a hospital with a night or two stay.
God is blessing so mercifully. I don't deserve it, but I'm so thankful He is!

I am so glad there was no sign of cancer in the lymph node. Keeping you in my prayers. You are such a brave woman. I hope you feel better quickly so you can prepare for the next surgery. Sending a virtual hug.

I sure appreciate your kindness, Linda. What's the situation with your heat and water and drainage?

@1creekgirl Had someone else come out on Saturday. He didn't do digging but wanted to take a look. Said he would charge us his Saturday rate of $434 to try to snake the drain again. We told him to go ahead. Well, the basement is almost dry. He saved us $7,275; and we may have heat and hot water by the end of the week!!!

@1creekgirl You're very welcome.
Oh, thank you! Pretty made it for me while we were in a doctor's waiting room one day last week. She took a photo of me after making me pull my mask down for a minute. I think she made it a shade too young
but I really like it.

Thanks again, Anna. I wasn't in a lot of pain yesterday, but just didn't feel good. I slept well last night which is such a huge blessing.

I am so sorry you have to go through all of this. I am glad your neighbors are helping you with food, I know that means a lot when you are sick. I hope the pain is not too bad, glad you have meds for it. My thoughts are with you.

I was doing good yesterday morning, but waited too long for a pain pill. But slept okay.

Don't wait too long if you need the pain relief. Set the alarm on your phone or something to remind you to take one before the pain comes back, Vicki.

You sound like you are in good spirits all things considered. You will need all that positivity for the upcoming surgeries, and the chemo and radiation for sure. At least this is something that can be treated...I know someone who had mestastized masses all over, and there was nothing doctor's could do..
