U Free on Valentine’s Day?

I am, but my grandson isn’t free on Valentine’s Day. It also happens to be his 13th birthday! He was invited to play goalie in Quebec, Canada with his team. It’s such an honor for him and the other kids. Makes their hard work pay off. In addition, he’s such a good little goalie, that he was selected to travel to Paris and play games all over France in April. Our son speaks fluent French, so he and the family will make a vacation out of it. We are invited to go with them, but hubs isn’t crazy about spending the time with a bunch of teenage boys. Anyway, we are so proud of our little guy.

Thanks so much. He's very excited about the hockey, but more excited about becoming a teenager. My granddaughter is 14 and already driving her parents crazy. Now they have two to deal with

@LadyDuck I pity the parents. He's a sweet kid, but my granddaughter has acted like a teenager since she was 4 year old. They caught her talking on the phone in her bed at midnight on a school night.

Nope, although he said he's willing to take me to Paris when they are there. It all depends on the timing, since we want to be back in CT before the end of April. Thanks and we are so very proud of him.

@just4him We've been to France 4 times, but it would be fun to be with the family. My son speaks fluent French, which would be a boon in the little towns. We are returning home early only because I can't wait to plant my vegetables and herbs. I also can't wait to plant flowers in a new bed that was prepared for me and in other areas around the house, the new island, and of course on the patio. Covid got me back into gardening if nothing else.

@DianneN He is famous already . Oh wow, soon he will be getting in the big boys hockey - physical contact - my goodness! The only term I know for that is "checking"???

Oh, yes. He went to Munich and Innsbruck last spring and made some new friends from around the world. He just loves being goalie. Next year he will be at the Bantam ? level when they are allowed to make physical contact with the players. His team can’t wait for that

Many thanks! The kids worked hard to get where they're going. Next season they move up a level where they are allowed to make physical contact with the other teams. They can't wait! Perhaps I should celebrate Valentine's Day with you and Pretty.

Yes, it's special and yes, I'm free. Don't want to be stuck in an overcrowded, overpriced, and loud restaurant, so we're staying in and I'm going to make hubs a special dinner. Wish you and your hubs could come join us.
