The work does get over ...eventually

In the mornings when I prepare the to do list...you bet I get stressed out...
I got up late this morning... that added to my woes.
The househelp didn't turn up...and though I am normally a low BP person even fainting at times, I get mad ..really mad...wanted to fire her...
So got up at 7 am...went shopping bought veggies (fresh ones taste so good), cooked and strangely the work was over by 10.30 am...
Including dishes.
So why did I get into such frenzy...why can't I tell me, I can do it...calm down.
Do you have such moments when you feel so much work has cascaded down on you, and you may not manage?
Somehow, I always manage...I end up prioritizing ..what can be deferred defer...I don't think I do it consciously...it just happens...

Did you find out why your househelp didn't show up this morning? Was it a good reason? And why didn't she call to tell you she was going to be late?
Yes, the work always gets done. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who has to do things and more stuff shows up that I have to take care of, I step back and take it bit by bit until things get done. It's annoying that it feels like I can't do it, but gradually, yeah, I get through it.
I hope you're feeling better now, Dearheart.

Feeling better...and actually good...that I could accomplish so much ..LOL
She didn't inform...that annoys me...very much. Yesterday and today she did not turn up, and her husband told me (on being asked) that she will return only on Monday evening..
Bad...
BTW where have you been... Pony lamented in one of the boxes that he cannot become pregnant in this incarnation...or something to that effect...I called you there for fun..

@vandana7 I'm glad you're feeling better.
Did you ask him why she wasn't turning up? If it annoyed me very much, I would have mentioned I was looking for a new househelp.
I didn't get a notification for it or I would have been there... You know I can't resist helping you tease pony.

@LadyDuck I do my kitchen cloths manually. I also scrub most of the clothes soak them in detergent and disinfectant for 1 hour or more, and then put them in washing machine. This is time consuming affair considering that I wash my clothes only 4 or 5 times per month, and so also clothes of my father. 10 washes plus kitchen clothes twice in the month....you know. LOL

Oh yes, there are many days like this! It helps me to write everything down and then take things on one by one, step by step. But one thing I have to do is make sure I get off the computer (um, myLot) if I really want to get things done
.

Writing it down early in the morning really stresses me out...honestly...though I know that is the best way to do it...
So kinda when I get into the kitchen what should I do first...I start planning there, and all that planning goes on without writing anything step wise... I feel delighted when I am ahead of schedule despite the huge list.

@vandana7 For me it's just making sure I get to all that I intended (because I can easily forget
). But yah, no need to write if you just know and need to get it ALL done. Just do it. And even better if you can get things done faster than you thought you could
. Then you have more time for the next thing
.

I have also noticed sometimes I benefit by not getting it done in the time I want it done. LOL
Take for example onions. I reached my re-order level about 5 days ago, and I had been thinking of buying them. It was 4 kgs for 100 INR last week, it was 5 Kgs for 100 INR this morning. LOL. Of course, I bought them...

And we are left wondering why we were worried in the first place...LOL.. How little do we trust ourselves.
Starting is the key ...once we do, somehow our brain re-organizes...without us writing down anything step wise or sequentially.
To do lists keep me oriented, but they also stress me out.

What happened to your house help? I rarely get overwhelmed these days by things that need to get done. I can't do them and must wait for our housekeeper to come and help me.
