What was it? Are We Alone?

Yesterday, the US Military shot down an unknown object over Alaska. They won't say what it was except that it is a silver-colored car-sized cylinder that was flying where it could interfere with air traffic. They stated that the object broke into pieces when it crashed down on ice.
Some people are wondering whether it is from space and if this incident is the first part of declaring full exposure of UFOs and alien life to the public.
What do you think? Are we alone in the universe? Could we have shot down a UFO? Or could it just be a piece of space junk?

No, we aren't alone in the universe but that wasn't an alien device. The reports all say the fighter pilots determined it was unmanned.... Don't you think the pilots would have said if they saw little green men flying it?

Certain things can never be 100 % sure.
Ot course, the China-US tension aspect can be a big factor.
The blame game has also started.
Yet if it was actually a UFO, then the whole matter becomes totally different!

An author on an article writing site where I was active some 5-6 years ago wrote a few articles stating that some day a big UFO with intelligent beings would come, conquer the Earth and that would herald a new age of Golden Wisdom and Peace.
Again wishful thinking i suppose!

If people give up on even half of their greed and 30 % of their egos, we could at least have a Partial Golden Age of Wisdom and peace.
Yet almost nobody cares a damn.

Sometimes, I wish it was a UFO with intelligent beings aboard. If they came to conquer, the people of the world would have to work together to defeat them. The world might become a peaceful place with everyone using whatever gifts they have to help each other. But that is only a dream. Sigh!
