When we just got married both of us went about setting our new home with whatever was needed suiting our budget. This was the happies time as most of you would have experienced
Our kitchen was well equipped and being a beginner I measured every ingredient that went into my dishes using these spoons and other measures including a kitchen weighing scale.
That is history now except where the recipe demands precision, like cakes . Now it is a handful this and a handful of that, a pinch of this and a pinch of that and the results always turn out better than when I used those measures.
Looking at the colour of what is being cooked I know if all is well, including the aroma that oozes out.
What's your story?

I still use a tablespoon or teaspoon to measure sugar, salt, coffee, and so on.

My story is more of just mish mash.
Those are lovely measuring spoons. Are they the same that you had in the beginning?

I have a set of spoons that are very similar. I use them all the time. I also like my kitchen scales and use them a lot.

You must be into some exotic dishes and passing on the boring dishes to Vince where precision may not be needed (lol)

@allknowing I like to measure the ginger in my ginger biscuits. Too much or too little could make all the difference to the taste.
