How I spent my weekend 2/17/23 - 2/19/23

Friday I was able to just stay home. It was the first day I didn’t have any plans. The rest of the week was busy. Saturday my husband took my stepson for a haircut and then they went hunting and got back around 3. At 6pm we went to my mother in laws house for my youngest sister-in-laws birthday. She turned 31. Usually they only get together for millstone birthdays 10 but my Mother-in-law and father-in-law were living in Maryland last year and weren’t here for her party she turned 30. Today my husband let me sleep in. I haven’t been feeling well due to stress that started Wednesday. I was only able to sleep for maybe an extra half hour but I laid there along time just not feeling like getting up. When he took the baby out of the room (when she woke up) the kitten ran in and jumped on my bed. I was just going to let him cuddle with me but he pounced oh my nose twice clawing it so I had too put him out of the room. Boy did it smart when it happened but how terrible it itched all day after was worse. Usually I have a lot of cleaning up to do after my husband makes breakfast but today I was so surprised and pleased to see for the first time in two years he cleaned everything up. He wanted to go to Lowe’s to look for some tools and wanted me to go along. We went to a Chinese buffet for lunch/dinner. All that food and the baby wouldn’t eat anything until we were completely done and she ate ice cream. The cheesecake they served was probably the best I’ve ever eaten. Photo is unrelated to the post but is of the Betty boop gifts my daughter bought me at the thrift store where she works. She gave them to me months ago but I can’t remember what the occasion was.

I only know Betty Boop from YT... I'm not old enough to remember it from television. My weekend was spent on myLot and in my bed. I woke up this afternoon with my eyes swollen shut. I got a shower and they opened enough I can read and type if I'm right against my laptop screen. I've only been talking when someone sends me a notification or with a few other people here. I'm glad you had a decent weekend.

@Daddyevil I just saw a little rerun of it when I was a kid. I thought she was adorable. Aww gosh I’m sorry it has happened again so soon. You just went through this a week ago or so ago from what I can recall. Unless time has passed faster then I thought. Go rest your eyes you don’t need to strain them to read any boring stuff I write. Thank you today was very nice especially.

@DaddyEvil wow that’s terrible it was happening daily. Im glad the shots seemed to be helping. My mother was taking them for allergies and had to very bad reactions in a year so they won’t give them to get anymore and she doesn’t want to try them anymore either after that I don’t blame her.

@shaggin Thanks... Yeah, they swelled closed last week for a few days... When I was working at Walmart, they'd swell closed almost every week. I thin the allergy shot I get once a month is helping a little. Before, they'd stay swelled closed for three or four days at a time. At least now they're only staying swelled up like that a couple of days at a time. (They're usually still swelled up too much for me to be able to drive but Pretty doesn't have to do everything for me all the time now.) You're welcome.

Nice image of Betty Boop who is before my time even though the local televisions in Panama did play the Warner Brothers cartoons.

@allknowing often on Sunday mornings he makes breakfast but I don’t eat any. Once in awhile he lets me sleep in and I really appreciate it. I was even more happy that he cleaned up the kitchen after cooking. I was shocked!

When cats claw our skin it hurts a lot for a while and usually not immediately. I have a couple of scars on my arm left by my cat when he was younger. Now he behaves. I am glad you enjoyed the cheesecake, this is a cake I usually like to eat.

@DianneN I did. I always appreciate any little help and he always acts kind of weird when I do. He always says I don’t need to thank him but I tell him I appreciate it so I say it.

@snowy22315 I was shocked and thanked him and told him how great things looked. He didn’t wash the dishes but he cleaned up the stove, wiped down the table and cleaned the pan he used and put it away. Once in a great when he washes one of his plates or cups I thank him and he tells me I don’t have to and I always say well you usually don’t and I really appreciate when you do.

@RebeccasFarm she is very thoughtful but I so wish she would just save her money and not waste it on me. The kitten is on a whole different level trying to drive me nuts today oh my gosh I just want to go to bed . I feel less stressed now thankfully. Hopefully it stays this way.

@MissNikki recently someone donated so many Betty boop items. My daughter asked if I wanted any but I told her my husband would get mad and to let another collector get them. I went in today and barely anything was left. That’s wonderful for the store since the prices on some times were $30+ as the stuff was worth a lot. It’s a not for profile thrift store so it’s nice when they do well with sales.
