Monday was a tough one.
It is Tuesday morning now on my side of the country. Yesterday was supposed to be a usual day where the kids will have their face-to-face classes and hubby going to his office. But hubby did not feel well. I checked his blood pressure and lo and behold, we got both shocked as it read 209/180. This is the first time it shoot up like that for him. I asked him to relax first and do some deep breathing. After five minutes, his BP reading is 163/95. It is still high so we decided to go to the ER after the kids are all in school.
Since he had the chance at that time, he got his blood workup as well. Luckily, his meds took effect after some time. after an hour or so, his BP reading came back to 120/80 and we do not have to stay in ER for long. But my hubby was advised to go back to his doctor soon.
A tough Monday for us.
How is your Monday?

It's been a rough day for the two of you. Yea that is a high BP good that it is back down now. Right of course always do a follow up with his doctor after being in the ER.
Hopefully it stays down at a normal level.

@rakski My husband BP goes up when he sees the doctor and some of it has to do with the fact that he is on the heavy side.

I hope your hubby feels better soon...
My blood pressure, when I worked, was in that range all the time, even with medication. Now that I don't work, it can still be 160/130 at times but the blood pressure meds bring it quickly under control. For the last month, my blood pressure has been in the 120/80 range so I'm not needing to take meds for it... but that can change at any time, too. *shrug*

I’ve always had low blood pressure except when pregnant with my third child a year and a half ago. Mine is usually 60/80 but mine went up to 120/80 I think. The doctors weren’t worried about it because it was a normal range but I was so swollen and that 120/80 was very high for me.
Will your husband have to take blood pressures medicine now? I’m amazed how much it dropped just with the breathing you had him do that’s interesting.

We did not have school Monday, but I had scheduled Dr. appointments for both my hubby and myself. I went to Urgent Care on Saturday and I got treatment for an infection.

Oh my my, that is a seriously high BP. It is concerning that as we age, these things do occur, and that we will require medical assistance and depend on medications for the remainder of our lives. It's fortunate that your husband recognized there was a problem with him. Most people would simply accept it as normal and be shocked if they suddenly passed out or collapsed.

The day developed as expected. I got things done and made arrangements for this month's rent. Everything went fine.

OMG, it is lucky he did not have a stroke. I hope he has pills he can take on a regular basis. Letting your BP get out of control like that can lead to a host of evils.

My Monday was bad too. My mother couldn't find her key fob. Searched the house for it and I finally found it outside. I had headache all day.
