24 February - What I'm Thankful for Today

It was a very good day today. The numbers are in. We got 12.7 inches of snow over the last two days. I thought it was 12.2, but the weather just now showed 12.7.
I'm thankful I have a warm apartment to stay inside against the cold outside. It's colder today than the last couple of days. Our high today was in the teens. Tomorrow we'll be back in the 20s F.
I'm thankful for the strength to get the apartment cleaned. I have a friend coming tomorrow to help me with the apartment. I know I can't do what I used to do and she is coming to help clean what I can't.
I'm thankful I have the dishes run through the dishwasher and the bed changed and made.
I'm thankful for Ibuprofen and the heating/massage pad. My back is feeling better than it did earlier when I finished the chores.
I'm thankful for the exercise I got this morning on the bike, even though I needed to guess at the number of steps I got in 32 minutes. My pedometer app only showed 17 steps.
I'm thankful I met my step goal today with a walk through the hallways and the chores.
I'm thankful I got the notifications finished and could see what you're doing in your world.

Those are indeed great things to be thankful for.
I'm thankful that I get to write here and particapate in discussions in myLot. I get to train in brazilian jiu jitsu this afternoon. That is another thing to be thankful for.

@just4him One of my favourite things is being warm inside while it's very cold outside. It makes me feel grateful that I have warm clothes and a roof over my head to keep me safe and warm.
That is very nice of your friend coming to help you! Very kind! Glad your back was feeling better. I know you have your ups and downs with it. Always good when it's feeling better whenever it can!
Right now I am grateful for getting rid of a bad headache and sitting in front of the fan to be cooler.

That's a good amount of snow that you got....the last time we got an amount like that it happened in May one year, then was in the 50's the next day.
Sounds like good things to be thankful for too.

Yes, and more last night. The steeple is covered this morning.
I wonder if that's the year we got a late blizzard. Though that was in April a couple of years ago.

@just4him Normally I would say sorry to hear that here lol.
I don't remember what year that happened, I know my son was probably only 4 or 5.

@MommyOfEli2013 I know it happened twice that April. Once on my grandson's birthday, the fourth, and the other in time for my son's birthday the 18th. I think the latter one was the three-day blizzard we got.

I'm glad you have a friend who will come help you with chores. I'm grateful that so far we've not had much snow here. I'm grateful hubby and I can afford to pay medical bills- that includes the fur kids bills. Those Vet bills are hair raisers. I'm grateful I can still write a coherent story. (At times I worry that I am losing my ability to concentrate and keep track of who did what when and where.)

I am thankful that my friend came with me to buy a new smartphone. She knows more about IPhone than me. I bought one yesterday. I am glad she was with me.
