Great, There Goes the Damn Week

Can we just call it a minor frustration? I mean, it is not the end of the world.
But my back is screwed up and I try, with all my might, to avoid screwing it up worse than I have to!
But here we are, in a situation where the warehouse guy has a hurt foot and he has seen fit to decide he needs to take the rest of the week off. That's today and tomorrow of course. Thursday and Friday.
The other salesperson in the office is also out taking some personal time.
That leaves me and the branch manager to handle picking parts and packing boxes and putting together freight.
I won't do freight. Just ground stuff.
But it will most likely make my weekend miserable because I will then have to nurse my back a bit. Plus it's just a total pain in the butt besides, because when your day becomes devoted to the warehouse—all the other work you have to do gets sidelined.
Maybe the boss disagrees that should be the case. But I happen to live and operate in the real world, and I know that he can just be the boss and do what he wants when he wants, and leave me to pick up the pieces.
I do not have that option.
It is what it is. It will be dealt with. Like I said, it is but a minor inconvenience. But great. There goes the damn week!

Sorry that your week has been turned upside down. I hope that your back survives and you make it to the weekend without pulling it out. I have back issues so I can understand how painful that can be

Ooh, don’t you hate it when that happens. Yeah, doo-doo happens, though. I don’t miss it in the least.

I'm so sorry. Try and baby your back as much as possible and rest up this weekend.

@LindaOHio That is always actually an option. Although less so when there are only two of us in the office, such as was the case at this time.

That's the real world of working in a warehouse.
