2021: Anne had Cancer Treatment, Helped Write a Book and Avoided Covid

During 2021, we not only had Anne's cancer treatment and the Pandemic to deal with.
She was asked to be part of a group of Fiber Artists to put together a book called "Emergence: Fiber Art from Concept to Stitch."
About twenty artists signed on to make an art quilt, explaining the process they followed from the beginning and to provide photos to be used in the book.
I took some of the photos she provided in her studio and outside on the patio on warm summer evenings, when she worked while I read and we sipped some cold, crisp white wine.
She was weak and wondered at times why she made the commitment, but finished her part and the book was published. That group of quilts has been exhibited around the northwest and is now hanging in our local Maude Kerns Art Center.
Photo is of the art quilt she made that year.
Willamette River Sunset, based on a photo we made.

Sounds like an interesting experience. I think sometimes it is important to be a part of something when we are sick or ailing. It helps us to keep going. How is she doing?

She's doing quite well, driving again, going to Tai Chi twice a week, just some problems with Chemo Brain hanging on.

@JamesHxstatic that is beautiful in fact that far off bridge almost looks like the railroad bridge that crossed the Daugava in Riga, Latvia,

I know you're so proud of her! Sounds like that was a good project while she was in treatment. How is she doing now? I start chemo March 13, then radiation after that.

Thanks @JudyEv, It is a quilt called Willamette River Sunset, based on a photo we took from one bridge toward the next. It's the one she did for the book.

I am sure that project took her off her illness and may have contributed to her getting better. More power to Anne.
