Good Protein Day

I have gotten back on my low carb way of eating today. I didn't necessarily want to, but I know it works best.
I have had a good amount of protein so far. I had 6 slices of bacon for "breakfast" and then for lunch I had a protein ice cream (just a protein shake frozen and then blended in my creami). That together I think is 51 grams of protein.
For my final meal at about 4 PM I will probably have tuna which is a higher protein food too.
Going to try to do higher protein, moderate fat and then as low carb as possible. Also trying to stay around 1,200-1,300 calories.
What do you think about the plan, and the protein so far?

Well if that's what you like. I don't eat any kind of beans. And usually bacon would be part of the meal

I love bacon, but only allow myself 2 slices when I do have it, which isn't very often...yes, it isn't the best for me at this time, but the sodium in it is wild. So I limit it a lot. Heavy cream is something I only purchase when making a company dinner and need it for a recipe, or such, and maybe the holiday times. It is not heart healthy for me and for many others, as good as it tastes, I just pretend it isn't there!!

@MarieCoyle Well, to each their own. I only ate 6 slices of bacon because I didn't know what or when I would eat again. Normally I would eat 2-3. I usually only use heavy cream for making my keto protein ice cream, sometimes in coffee. So I am not worried. For some it makes them sick, sure....but it does not affect me in that way. So long as it fits in my carbs and does not spike my sugar it will be on my menu.

I think you'd have to go extreme protein for that to happen..

@Adie04 I really couldn't say. If you are having high protein and carbs then that may cause the gain...

@MommyOfEli2013 Oh. Because, one of my friends, he consume this protein shake? Something protein. In a bottle or something. But he didn't commit to go to the gym. Last time he slandered me for getting fat, now I guess his face is more rounder than me....
That's why I would like to confirm if protein makes one gain weight or now

No, I don't think higher protein would do that. Plus, it is not extremely high protein lol. Bacon only has 1 more gram of fat than it does protein, but I guess fat is more calories than protein. I don't eat bacon that often. As a treat on Sundays doesn't sound too bad

@MommyOfEli2013 an ex of mine was consuming a lot of protein like protein in his drinks and said he thought it was what caused him to gain weight. I have bought that powder stuff a few times when recipes called for it and it is so good but I’m not sure if it would cause a lot of weight gain like he said I’m not sure how much sugar is in it.

@shaggin I think that would be caused by the sugar in the shakes...if they did have a lot of sugar.

@MommyOfEli2013 I know. Just do your best and try to exercise a bit every day. Walking in place is a good start.

@DianneN I would not walk for exercise... would be so boring it'd be torture lol. I know I need to work out but don't want to in this pain

It was a protein shake just frozen...
I know I do everything wrong with food but I don't like many things that are low carb

Your plan is a good one; and the protein is very adequate.

@MommyOfEli2013 Veggies and fruit would definitely be good for you; but you don't like them; so that's what it is.

I added some kind of peanut butter powder to the shake to add more peanut butter flavor (the protein powder I used was chocolate peanut butter flavor) but not sure if it is a protein packed one. I use Keto Chow protein powder which has like 30 grams of protein lol
Those all sound like delicious foods that I wish I could have, lol. Okay yesterday I had some cake snack things before I gave up the carbs again

Sounds like a good diet for those who want more protein in their lives.

I like a low carb diet but sustaining it is difficult for me. I at least avoid carbs for 3 days in a week

It is difficult, for sure. That's good to avoid them that much though
