Hey, the sun’s out! That’s very deceptive, because it’s cold here. None of that nor’easter icky white stuff they’re getting in the northeastern US, though. Well, they complained that they didn’t get any snow this winter. Be careful what you wish for. Did you wish for another great song from a movie? Wish granted!

Here’s another case of ”Really???? They were never nominated???” in the world of the Oscars. Yeah, the plots were paper thin, but c’mon!!! Guess you just couldn’t legitimize rock and roll with an Academy Award nomination back then. 
If you’re interested (or even if you aren’t 
), “The Shadow of Your Smile” won the “Best Original Song” Oscar in 1965. Somehow this is just a little more enduring.

As a Beatle lover from the 60s I saw the movie Help more than once but this song isn't one that comes to mind right off the bat.

Yep know the song and the movie. It was the one movie that always had me asking What actually happened? but the music made it worthwhile watching,

I guess the film "A Hard Day's Night" was enough "British Invasion and Beatlemania" for the Academy. That film got nominated for two Academy Awards Best Original Screenplay and Best Score Adaptation. So many great songs off both of those film albums!
