Totally ridiculous road rage leads to bad happenings

.That these type of incidents even happen is horrifying. Imagine driving along and someone wants to rear end you to get you to go faster, you get to a stoplight, and the guy behind you gets out of his car and ends up throwing an 80 year old woman in traffic!! I just don't understand how people can get this mad over something like this. Yes, he was caught and arrested, he is already out on bail, and she is in ICU. Doesn't seem fair to me at all.

@rakski What kind of threat could she have been, anyway? She was described as a tiny little 80 year old woman. Good grief.

I've seen some pretty irate people in traffic incidents so don't doubt someone can get that upset... and I've been behind some pretty slow drivers before... When I start getting mad, I turn and go down another street, if at all possible.

@MarieCoyle That's why I go a different route... I don't want to cause more of a problem than already exists.

I think all drivers get irritated at times. I know I get upset over bad drivers. But I just back off and think, this too shall pass...nothing I do will fix the problem, and I certainly don't want to be part of the problem, either.

@DaddyEvil If only everyone thought that way, it would be so much better.

@MarieCoyle People are so weird when they get in a vehicle. A guy in a big fancy pickup scared me once when I was driving on the freeway- in the slow lane so that I could just relax and go at a good pace but not speed. Suddenly the big truck guy came zooming up behind me like he intended to keep going uber fast no matter if I was there or not. I laid on the horn. He finally went in the middle lane and thank God headed to whatever fire lay ahead.

@sallypup We have had a lot of interstate work going on for several years as they are changing several ramps and adding more. The speed limits for this construction are clearly posted, there are lights, warning signs, often there are state police, and there are cameras. But still people want to tear through that mess going 80 at least, and there always seems to be an accident or a sideswiped vehicle. Which as anyone with half a brain would know, could be avoided if they would slow down like they are supposed to in the first place.

I thought of that as well. However, it seems so many are fueled by just plain anger and hate, it may well have just been that.

@cacay1 I have no idea about her family. All I know about the situation is what I read in the article I posted with this.

I just can't believe they let him bail out of jail, and she is in ICU with severe head trauma.

I avoid road rage at all costs! I keep my doors locked in traffic too. I feel sorry for the poor woman. I hope she is OK.

@MarieCoyle It seems like the whole world is angry; and people can't stop fighting each other.

Yes, I keep mine locked as well. I guess if I'm in a horrible wreck, if they have to break the car windows to get me out, they have to. I am tired of so many people being so angry.

Talking about road and accidents, I do saw one time a motorcycle accident. Fall in front of my eye.

@Adie04 My Dad was driving my sister and I were in the car. He was so upset that we saw that, but it certainly wasn't his fault. I had nightmares for weeks afterwards.

I don't think so, either. An 80 year old woman. He should be locked up forever.

He should not be out, this man is a potential criminal. Sooner or later he will kill someone.

@MarieCoyle - Poor woman, I can understand how traumatized she is. That horrible person should be in jail.

The woman very well could still die, severe head trauma and a frail little 80 year old woman--no, he shouldn't be out! What a screwed up system we have.
