Going to see the goats - and my sister - today

We’re off to see my sister today. She is eight years older than I am and lives about an hour away. She lives with one of her five sons and they have a goat stud. Her grandchildren distinguished her from other grandparents by calling her ‘nanny with the goats’ which got shortened to ‘nanny goat’. They sell their goats but now airlines won’t take any over a certain weight. Don’t ask me why as they take horses, sheep, cattle, etc. Anyway, that’s what I’ve been told. So the mother of these triplets had been sold but the airline wouldn’t take her so my sister now has another three very valuable little kids. So I guess it’s not all bad news. I'm taking her my cyclamen plant to mind while we're away but it isn't looking too good. We've also put a lot of old photos on a thumb drive for our nephew. He is very interested in his ancestry. It's okay, you can admit to us that you're really wanting to play with the goats and seeing your sister is just a bonus. I hope you have a wonderful visit.

They are so adorable. Nanny goat is such a cute name, I answer to half of that-Nanny. I bought a cyclamen plant this week, I wonder how long I will be able to keep it alive. It is in a pot that sits in a ceramic pot, apparently I read that it needs to have the water below it so that the roots can draw it up. We will see. I don't have high hopes as I have had a couple of these in the past and they don't like living with us as they always die off so quickly.

@JudyEv I read that after the blooms fade and die off the plant goes dormant. Mine all go dormant within a couple of weeks of bringing them home. I hope that this one lasts.

Aren't they cute as a little button? There are people who live on the lower end of the highway who have those kinds of goats. They are so cute. I know there is at least one more set around.

Oh dear I wonder why they changed the wright for goats only. Now, look at that she can't sell them pity. But yes they are lovely. Well good you are going to visit with your sister Judy. Nice your nephew will have the old photos too. Your cyclamen isn't doing well again sorry to hear that.
