"When cats meow, they are using a language that they developed specifically to communicate with humans. Research shows that when felines communicate, it’s very rare for them to meow at each other." Source:Find out more interesting facts and puzzles at link below. I don't get paid for sharing. If you want to play you don't have to watch the àds. ~~~~~ (This week I begin playing a crostic crossword game which then shares all sorts of info from the clues. I've been saving the ones that intrigue me). In my world... I didn't retire as I hoped that I would last month. This is due to several reasons. Mostly because periodically my company will offer an incentive to retire and pay out a set amount of money for every year worked. They did not do that as several of us hoped they would. Without that extra money I can't afford to retire at this time, but I also don't think I'll be able to stay for too many more years but we'll see. I also just had to replace my mini van so had to take out a new loan. So I might be working at least two more years. I'm off on vacation this week but I have lots to accomplish. Calls to make related to the new van. I also have to clean out the old van before taking it to the junk yard. I'll try to get some visiting in when I take my breaks.

Not necessarily. Mostly because I've been looking forward to retiring the last couple of years already. But we do what we got to do as long as we are able.

@RebeccasFarm at least I've wrapped my brain around it already so it's not too bad. They hired a few more cashiers which might mean I won't have to work as many hours eventually.

I had a lot of days to use up before my work anniversary on the first of April. I was taking a few days here and there for the last month. It's worked out that this was a whole week since there's so much to do to get rid of the previous van and use the newer one

Good afternoon smiley-faced lady. Interesting about cat language. I will exchange an interesting fact about these glorious animals with you: Did you know that a cat may sleep up to 16 hours a day? I found that interesting when I read it. Sorry to hear you can't retire yet. Ah, but think of the time when you can.

@LadyDuck yes, I'm guessing possibly two more years unless they offer it next year. I would take it then.

They probably won't offer it for another year and maybe never. February is the month they've offered it before.

Hi Marsha! happy to see you here and that things are basically going well. Sorry, though, that you can't retire yet. Getting a new van and getting rid of the old one does take patience as well as a lot of time. Enjoy the new van and many happy driving miles

The newer van is a 2013 town and country. I'm hoping it won't need much work, although we did purchase a service plan for the next two years. So hopefully any repairs needed will be covered other than normal maintenance.

Does the junk yard buy your car for a certain amount?

One we took them to before would pay one hundred dollars but they closed up shop and cleared the land. I'll be taking it to a different place. It's possible they will too.
