Do you worry?

I do. I worry about my husband and brother and sister-in-law and their health. My worry motivates me to take better care of myself, because I fear I may end up taking care of them. Worry is pointless unless coupled with some kind of action. Taking care of me is what I can do to take care of t hem. I am trying to improve and have good intentions for how I go about my day to day. It is a gift to myself.

I hope there are ways you can take action to let you have some input and some control.

"What, me worry?" I imagine you do somewhat, but I see you out helping others and taking care of them. That is a healthy way to manage worry.

I guess that we can't help worrying. I worry about my wife even though she is now cancer free. My 34 year old daughter had blood pressure problems, so that is a worry. I create my own worries I guess too, trying to get poetry published, looking new things to write about. Life itself is a place where it is difficult not to worry.

I worry about my husband. The name of the company is Embrace. I believe that it's the pet company. Look under Careers. They have several jobs which can be done remotely across the US. I will check further with our housekeeper (my husband's cousin) when I see her.

I get it. As much as I, as a single person, can get it. But with my dad's recent health struggles, as well as my new health concerns, it really sinks in that there will only be more concerns, not less.

You are a single person, but you are still part of a family and your care is important. I was not aware that you have new health concerns. So sorry.

I think it's normal for us to worry especially about our loved ones. I am a worrywart, too and most of the times I worry too much. It didn't happen overnight when I helped myself not to worry too much anymore. I place pictures of angels around my room and pray to God that He is just beside us and tha He will help us always.

Life is going to cause us all to worry at some point in our lives. What you do, to take action so it doesn't consume you is smart. Praying for your family and you.

Of course, it is part of being human, part of our experience that we worry about something be it personal to yourself, a family member or situations in a broader sense. I just learned not to worry excessively and "choose" my worries. I don't want to turn into an anxiety ridden, neurotic mess. I don't know if there's such a term as healthy kind of worrying but for me there is and its like what you've said, worrying that leads to useful or purposeful actions and not some mindless worrying that can become detrimental to your health.
