What did you have for breakfast on this sunny and cool Sunday?

I'm listening to Baroque music on my main stereo and relaxing right now. I will take care of some "paperwork" (mostly online) at home and then head to Mike's house to play some music later in the day. I am on my second cup of coffee and already had breakfast. I had bacon and an eggs, sunny side up. It was good. I added some white mushrooms around the egg, just to do something different. Mushrooms are yummy, but do they have any nutritional value? I've never researched it. In any case, how is your Sunday shaping up? And, most importantly, what did you have for breakfast?

Good morning, pony. I ate a sausage, egg and cheese croissant by Jimmy Dean for breakfast around 6 am... It was delicious. What's your temp this morning? It was 40F at 6 am but the temp has risen to 51F at noon... 58F might be our high today. It's sunny and windy here.

@TheHorse It was 80F yesterday before the storms started so we had turned the heat off and were just talking about kicking the air on when the hail started. This morning, I realized we never turned the heat on after the storms started cooling everything off. It was 62F in the house when I got up to find breakfast before going to bed. I turned the heat on. I always pull on socks if my feet get chilly.

@DaddyEvil I am glad nature took care of things for you. That was pretty much the case here too.

It is sunny and calm here. I may go the "frozen" route of lunch today. I bought a pot pie the other day. I have not had one in awhile. i think it may reach the 60s F here today. My feet are chilly, but I do not have the heat on.

Yes, mushrooms have nutrients: "Mushrooms are full of micronutrients. They are a good source of copper, potassium, phosphorus, and iron. Copper assists in energy production and iron utilization.5 Potassium is important for maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance, is required for proper nerve and muscle conduction, and may help to lower blood pressure.6 Iron is a mineral needed for the synthesis of hemoglobin, DNA, amino acids, neurotransmitters, and certain hormones.7 Mushrooms also contain niacin (vitamin B3) and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5). B vitamins assist in the release of energy from carbohydrates, protein, and fat." I doubt that I will have breakfast today. Our Meals on Wheels lunches are usually quite filling. We are having a stuffed pepper today.

Sunday was fine. Breakfast was rice, sausage, and sunny side-up egg. Instead of coffee, I had soda. Not the healthiest but still a good source fo caffeine. Monday already here in Manila. Going out for lunch in a bit.

Mushrooms are a good source of copper, B vitamins, potassium, and iron, so they are very good to have. I made waffles that I served with a sliced banana with cinnamon and whipped cream.

@TheHorse Mushrooms are good with meat, in stews, in soups, to make risotto, surely not with whipped cream.

Sounds yummy. Did you have mushrooms in there to absorb the flavor of the whipped cream?

I poured milk on a berry scone, zapped it a few seconds and that was my breakfast. I didn't want to waste the scone but it was getting a bit dry.

Sounds like a practical solution. When My bread gets dry, I fry it up next to an egg. Was it tasty?

@JudyEv OK. My parents made me something similar when I had a tummy ache. But I really do enjoy my fried bread along side an egg.

Mushrooms are full of protein so are a good subsitute for meat. I think I had oatmeal and yogurt for brekky, or that might have been yesterday, I can't keep track.

Mushrooms are rich in vitamin B and protein. I am missing the breakfast same as yours when I went on vacation abroad. I can buy those too here but the bacon brand is not the same and does not taste as tasty as that original brand. I had oatmeal, milk, and a banana for breakfast.

Some do, I think. But, I agree that some taste pretty good. Me, my usual. Now my husband is happy watching the races. Seems kind of quiet today.

I didn't have breakfast but an early lunch at 11 AM with tater tots and pork patties. I finished the day with some soft shell tacos. Next grocery go round I will get some mushrooms I enjoy them and have not had any in a long time.

I just had a cup of tea. Couldn't decide what I wanted. I got quite a bit of yogurt recently and now I am not in the mood.
