This is a nice photo of Micah, another one of my beloved pets. He was so
doggone funny, his antics would amaze me.
I'd tell him not to do something and Micah would immediately do it. I'd ask Micah to come see Mama. He would immediately look up into the clouds watching for birds, as if he was deaf and couldn't hear me.
Most people would have interpreted this as being stupid. Nope! My vet described this as a very intelligent mind, reversing most of the commands that I'd given. If it involved a treat, he would obey perfect.
Quite often I'd say, 'Don't go pee-pee in Penny's yard!' Micah would step over the lot line about five feet, squat down while looking to see my response.
He was being disobedient on purpose, to rile up my chicken feathers!
Photo: A selfie I took, while twisting Micah's collar to keep his head in place. He was struggling like crazy, to get away! lol Micah was a brat:)

Micah was so much fun! I'd say, ;Micah, don't you step on Mama's foot!' He would tromp his front paw on top of my foot, then look up to see my response:) Of course, it didn't hurt but, I'd pretend I was in terrible agony
We'd do this over and over again! My friend Pam was a dog expert. I asked her if a Redbone hound has a sense of humor. She assured me, they certainly do! lol

How sweet. We had a Norwegian Elkhound, Ozzie, (the sweetest most lovable dog). We would put all of his toys in his toy box to get them up off the floor. He would go over to the box, look us right in the eyes and tip the box and spill all the toys onto the floor.

Ozzie had his own idea about those personal toys! And it certainly wasn't to keep your home neat and tidy:)

We had an adult assisted living home, across the street from where we lived. These people were social outcasts, emotionally despondent often, made fun of. Micah would run across the street(a big no-no) and two boys would chases him around the front yard, laughing and enjoying themselves! My silly dog would dodge and dart in circles, to keep the fun game going:)

It's a dog's job. They can sure be brats. Our cats do a lot of that too. I love it all.

We had to have him euthanized, it broke my heart! He somehow got poisoned and was dying in a lot of agony.

I'm sure you must miss him a great deal. What a great companion he must have been - and great entertainment too.
