Feeling old by looking at this list of songs that are sixty years old now? I hope not. I’ve had a birthday but I don’t feel old. Age is mind over matter: if you don’t mind, it don’t matter! Anyway, I’m celebrating my birth month with songs that go back almost as far as I do. Here’s another tune from 1963. Walk Like a Man - The Four Seasons Into each person’s life some Vivaldi must fall. Or, as Gallagher once said, “Frankie Valli out there, singing, ‘Walk like a man, talk like a man,’ sings it like a girl.” Truly one of the legendary acts of the 60s, the Four Seasons’ music continues to endure. Their 1976 hit “December 1963 (Oh What a Night)” shows how expansive their career was. Heck, they were singing about “back in ‘63” when this was a hit! The Four Seasons have a great, feel-good sound that still sounds great and feel-good. Walk Like a Man Written by Bob Crew and Bob Gaudio Recorded by The Four Seasons From Big Girls Don’t Cry and Twelve Others, 1963 Oh how you tried to cut me down to size:

Yep. Make fun all you want, but that guy had a heck of a great voice back in the 60s and 70s.

@RebeccasFarm — the “you” was more to Gallagher and others who mock his voice.

I love the Vivaldi piece, too. I remember when the Weather Channel played it as their “local on the 8’s” music.

Frankie had a great falsetto voice back then. He can’t hit them anymore because (a) he’s old and (b) he has severe hearing problems.

They were among the first groups I enjoyed listening to as a kid. Even with Frankie's unique Helium infused voice. Great memories of those innocent days when these guys, The Beach Boys, and then The Beatles ruled the airwaves with Top Ten hits! I believe they have the corner on songs which start with a "W." We can add "Working My Way Back to You, and Who Loves You" to the mix

And “Wherrie,” you know, “Wherrie, won’t you come out tonight.” Oh, that was ”Sherry.”

I can never hear this song or even read the title without that Gallagher quote popping into my head.

I know! I quote Gallagher quite a bit. I also liked his observation about Billy Joel: “sings ‘I love you just the way you are,’ and then leaves her!”

It’s probably one of their most-played songs, so you can get sick of it.
