After the stove mishap, I decided to switch the weirded-out coil on the stove with the other one that was the same size (stove has two smaller burners and 2 large) I do this often anyway when I clean the stove, no big deal, right?
Wrong.
I managed to jam my fingers under one of the coils putting it back together. I've never done that before. What a day this has been--hopefully nothing else disastrous is in line for tonight, good grief!!

Yes, it does hurt but it's more irritating than anything else. I am thankful it was my left hand and not my right though. So there's that, anyway! Thank you.

I will survive, it's just irritating that I did it. I knew I should have just stayed in bed today, as I didn't feel very well, but no, of course I didn't do that, I got up and tried to get some things done, and just bumbled my way through the day, Anna. It only hurts now when I use my hand.

For the last hour or two, one of the smashed fingers is full of tingles on the end. It's not painful but it certainly is irritating. I hope it goes away soon.

The next time I wake up not feeling well, I am not going to do much if I can help it. Maybe I got all the bad stuff out of the way for a while, that would be wonderful! Thank you.

The finger with the cut is better than it was, the cut part is mostly healed. My ring finger is still black and blue, it appears I broke several blood vessels/veins in it so it's going to take it's sweet time to heal. It doesn't hurt nearly so much as it did, it will be fine before long, I think. Thank you.

The stove won, I agree!
My ring finger is still dark blue and purple, but the swelling has abated somewhat. I am just thankful I didn't break them!
