Just One of Those Things

All my life I have had low blood pressure, and 3 times in the last 5 years I’ve passed out (2x in public). EKGs were done, and I sure wasn’t worried. However, in the past 6 months my blood pressure has become very high. A few doctors voiced their concern, and a new cardiologist is doing more extensive tests. I’m not sure what happened as nothing in my diet or medication wise has changed. I guess because of that dizziness has plagued me these last few months as well. I’m not worried, but I’ll be happy when these tests are over.
This is a picture of me and my “cousin-in-law” JJ on Christmas. He’s married to my cousin, Stephanie. He’s a doll, and just the kindest soul.

Once you know what is causing your BP to go down I am sure you will get it back to normal.
You look good in that photo

That is pretty scary. It is never good to have your BP be too high..Prayers for you...and I hope it turns out to be something easily managed.

I hope they can figure out what’s making it high.

@Tampa_girl7 I actually got some just yesterday! He said it was all minor things, and nothing to worry about at this time. I go back in 6 months. Thank you for inquiring.

@AmbiePam I don’t recall reading about the heart monitor results. I hope that you got some answers.

I used to have high blood pressure but it runs low now. I don’t take any medication for it. I have to sit dow when mine gets too low, otherwise I would pass out. It’s odd because I go for long walks and it’s okay but in the early mornings it’s always low.

I’m still waiting on the results of the heart holter monitor they made me wear last week, and since I had an an adverse reaction to the contrast in the IV when they gave me an echocardiogram last week they had wait to do the additional tests because those adverse effects needed to wear off.

A much nicer pic of you than your avatar, wink.
I would have thought the dizziness would be associated with the low blood pressure rather than the high. I hope they can figure things out.
I've gotten dizzy in the past but usually when I got up too fast. My blood pressure has always been slightly low to normal.

@MarshaMusselman Only when it’s really high. Apparently that can happen, but it’s not nearly as common as with low blood pressure.

Thank you. My mom had naturally curly hair, and she passed on naturally curly hair to me. Strangely, when she was young she would iron her hair straight. I never understood why, but I guess it was the style.
You DO have lovely hair though. It looks smooth and silky.

Hopefully the Cardiologist finds out the issue. Did they do an ultrasound or make you do a stress test?
