Saw the Ear, Nose, Throat Advance Practice RN. We talked. She says I am still puffy, but it is a cold or allergies or both.
Yay, no new medicine.
I told her I would follow up later this month with my regular primary. This ARPN has said more than once that I should probably get a CT scan of my neck. I am just not ready to do that in a hospital I am unfamiliar with. She also suggested blood test for mono, perhaps.
I will see my primary towards the end of the month as I am due a visit anyway.
Meanwhile doubling another allergy medicine.
Fatigue is part of mono, fatigue is also a side effect of the antibiotic I just took. Fatigue is part of this part of the school year.
We went to a Chinese Buffet, because we had not had lunch.
Fatigue is a part of over eating. I went to bed early last night, slept 8 hours plus a little more.

@Marilynda1225 - And I am noticing that Mom was right, after the 70 it worsens.

You are so right Anna. I would give anything to have even half the energy I had when I was younger.

@LadyDuck guess it's unavoidable and she was right about it getting worse in the 70s. I'm always tired and full of aches and pains especially on rainy days like we've been having.

Mono? Isn't the general perception that only young people get it? (Not saying you're old, but by "young people" I mean in their teens and twenties.)

Anyone can get it. It is the Epstein Bar virus. It is transmitted through saliva, so no sharing spoons and coffee cups, etc. Often implicated in chronic fatigue syndrome.

Eight hours of sleep is a nice stretch.

I hope you feel better soon and get the CT scan and mono test as suggested. I haven't been to a Chinese buffet in years. I don't know of any since COVID-19.

This restaurant is a long way away. I will visit with my primary care about the other tests. I am feeling better since I am done with the antibiotics.

So many buffets closed during covid. I will ask my primary care what she thinks of having a CT. I would rather have it here, less waiting around, people who are familiar in a place that is familiar.

Mono is viral, so no meds. Lots of extra rest, though. It can have serious side effects.

Hope it's just allergies and not something more serious. I know allergies are high this year for a lot of people.
