I've been wanting an outdoor table ever since I moved to this house. Got a yard. Need to have a place for tea time- tea time outside happens maybe twice in a summer but its fun. Last night and this morning wild Spring weather has moved in. Rain and thunder and yup, lightning. Rufus is deeply gun shy so thunder booms send him into a panic. Forty pounds of Rufus jumping on my head gets old quickly. I've been talking/not talking with a lady who wanted to sell a wicker and glass topped table. Reasonably priced. She agreed to ferry it across town then she couldn't. Raining and wild out this morning, I looked out to see a truck towing a large trailer. A wicker table sat on the trailer. Oh Lordy!! Surprise. I found the cash needed and ran out into the damp. Super sweet small town folks. One guy wheeled the round top through the wet grass, another hefted the table bottom on his back. Somebody yelled "I love your front porch!" Now to get the weather to cooperate and the sun to shine. Going to have a party out by the shed when the weather sweetens.
