I´m getting hungry again. A snack.

I usually eat more when it is cold. Now that we are having fall weather I´m thinking about making a cup of hot chocolate. I know that I have chocolate and whole milk. And I also found whole cinnamon saved from the fire. What I don´t know is if I still have clove. If I don´t, I´ll have to do without it. Do you make your own chocolate or you buy it somewhere? I could even add a tiny bit of coffee. See you later.

It has been so long..I think the very last time I made it myself. But that was quite some time ago.

I made a hot chocolate the other night as well. Not a homemade one, but the one's in a sachet. I was chatting on the phone to my friend while I prepped it and then noticed it was expired. I drank it anyway and told my friend if I poisoned myself she'd know why ... haha!

Those things do not really expire. I think my chocolate was bought a long time ago but it said that it would expire in 2024. I read it only because it was in front of my eyes.

I eat more in cold weather too. Comfort foods and heavier foods. Summer is sandwiches and stuff that it doesn't take an oven or stove top to fix. I used to make it. The kids get it in envelopes of powder.

You can buy it that way here but I´m sure that I like mine better. It has the taste of birthday parties when I was a child.

@celticeagle The only places I like to eat out is in good ethnic restaurants. They make food that I can´t cook.

I always prepare a cup of hot chocolate at home for my husband, Italian style, with a little corn starch to make it a bit thick.

We buy cocoa mixes from Walmart. They have some very good flavored mixes. I like Hazelnut Cream. Pretty prefers Swiss Miss Cocoa.

@DaddyEvil I do exactly the opposite. I now cook more as a way of having fun. When my husband was alive I did other things with him and did not have so much time. He said that I was a very good cook WHEN I cooked.

@marguicha When I was younger, I'd make everything from scratch. Now that I'm older, I like the mix packets/cans that taste fine without me needing to do all the work myself.

I make my own hot chocolate with Hershey's powdered cocoa, water, milk, vanilla and sugar. Yes, I like to add coffee, at times!

Mine is powdered bitter cocoa, milk, sugar, cinnanon and clove. I don´t use vanilla since once, years ago, I did not read the label, thought it was soy sauce and dumped it in my rice. From then on, vanilla and I aren´t friends.

@kobesbuddy I hate to spoil food. A couple of times I have forgotten to place leftover food in the fridge in summer and then I don´t dare eat it. I throw it away and hate myself.
