I know the movie has a lot of positive press, and it was an interesting premise, but it was a bit graphic for me. Also, the woman who played his next door neighbor the one who plays a prominent part in the story, really got on my nerves...especially the way she said his name, and she said it all the time. I guess it really wasn't my cup of tea. The last Tom Hanks movie I saw The News of the Wiorld something like that, I wasn't crazy about either, but I think I liked it more than A Man Called Otto. Have you seen either?

I really liked A Man Named Otto. I thought his Hispanic neighbor was adorable.

@snowy22315 I hate to look forward to a movie and it isn't what I thought it would be.

I really liked News of the World. I thought it a good story/plot, held my interest, and wound up with a happy ending. What did you not like about it? I usually don't say that about any films made today.
Did not see Otto. From the promos he seems like an angry Forrest Gump to me, lol.

@dgobucks226 I was hoping she would go back with the indians. The Indi an dialogue was the best part of that movie I thought.

@snowy22315 I see. I was curious to see if Hank's character would be successful in bringing the girl back home and how it would affect her. I was happy to see him sort of adopt her at the end of the film. Although I kind of figured that would occur. But still left me smiling.
I guess "gripping" is in the eye of the beholder

Moat of rhe movie was just Tom Hanks being cranky and his neighbors being annoying. Just not a fun movie to watch, not for me.

@snowy22315 - It's not something I want to watch, I think this movie would make my husband depressed.
