Do you have photos printed up as calendars, etc?

Another photo from way back. It shows my parents with a second cousin of ours. But can you see our two boys in the background? One Christmas, as one of their gifts, we had the photo put on a tea-towel. Under the boys’ photo was a calendar. When the year was over, my mother just covered up the calendar and kept the picture of the boys on her wall. You can have your photos put on just about anything nowadays. I always think they make nice gifts. We've given my sister several calendars over the years. Each month has a photo of one of the flowers/plants from her garden.

I noticed the picture of your sons right away when I pulled up this post. They were such cute little boys. I am undecided who you favour, I see a bit of both of your parents in pictures of you.

@JudyEv Yes, by no means do you post alot of pictures from their youth, but they are easy to spot for me.

Isn't that interesting that you noticed the boys? I have my Dad's nose I think and chunky fingers. Mum's fingers were longer and more slender. I probably have her sense of humour.

My friend does that, but I prefer pictures of cats on my calendars!

You can buy cat calendars as I'm sure you know. You could take a photo of one of your cats and put it on a mug.

@JudyEv Only if I can get a mug as large as the one I use now!

@Ronrybs If you have a large mug, you'd need a large cat.

Everyone looks very happy in the picture! I have seen my dad get a lot of gifts with calendars as the months represented from pictures people got off Facebook.

It's a good idea. For a calendar for my sister, we tried to take photos of her garden whenever we visited.

You do need someone to give them too and it can be hard to find 12 relevant photos sometimes although you can always make do with just one.

@JudyEv - I agree, it's not always easy to find photos that are interesting and relevant to the person who will receive the gift.

@LadyDuck For my sister, we tried to take photos of her garden every time we visited so by the end of the year we had a nice number to choose from.

No, we were doing a series of lake photos to make a calendar once, but had an unfortunate computer crash and lost the pics. That was before the days when things were backed up.

That would have been so disappointing. We try to keep things backed up but sometimes we go awhile and don't. We'll pay for it one day no doubt.

That's a given of course. We did the calendar bit a few times for my Mum as she got older She didn't really need anything but loved her garden, her birds, her grandchildren. It wasn't hard to find 12 photos that she'd like.

I think they make great gifts. We had one made for Vince's brother last year. We were sitting round the tree opening gifts and for some reason he was talking about how he hadn't been able to buy a calendar that he liked. And as he's talking, he's opening ours! He was kind enough to say it was just what he wanted in a calendar. lol

Personalized gifts like calendars or tea-towels can be a great way to share memories with loved ones and make the most of your favorite photos. And as you mentioned, there are so many options available these days for printing your photos on different items, from mugs and phone cases to pillows and canvas prints.

We sell photos of horses and riders who participate in endurance riding. One ordered a photo to have put on a rug for a friend's 50th birthday. And when my mother turned 100, we had a rug made with all the grandchildren on it.
