Thanks to the actions of a few Ogden Utah police officers who answered a call from a concerned witness who saw that two ducklings who fell down a drain pipe on Friday morning. Animal Service Officers did the work of rescuing the two ducklings by prying open the storm drain and getting the two baby ducks out of danger and safety by using a net. The good news is that the baby ducks were not injured. It is not known if the baby ducks reunited with their mom after the rescue was finished. Link is abc3340.com/news/offbeat/p...

I guess the ducklings fell into the storm drain since a storm may have hit the area earlier which caused the accident to happen.

You are right since when a police officer saves the life of a human or animal, they deserve to be recognized for their good deeds.

This happens here so often--we have a ton of geese. Every year there are several instances that police or others have to remove the iron grate of a storm drain to rescue a baby or two that have fallen in them. The last time that happened close to my house, the mama and other babies hung out under a big bush close to the drain, and the baby was saved and went back with her. I know that is not always the case.
