All Pigs Go to Heaven

I found this amusing picture from a very long time ago. It was taken at a pavilion in the Central Market in Riga, Latvia. Those of you, who know me well, know that Martin had a pet name for me in Latvian Ruksis or translated Piglet. So when we saw these drawings I had him take a photo. It is good to know where pigs wind up but what I wondered was why the pig drawings, this one, and some others were in the meat pavilion of all places. Perhaps it was supposed to give comfort to those who were buying pork products that all those piggy spirits had gone to heaven. Anyway, the saying on the picture is in Latvian and it says that – all pigs go to heaven.

@AmbiePam I have to agree with you and I also posted on another site recently love songs with a photo attached of two pigs lying together in happiness. But I still enjoy pork patties, SIGH

@RasmaSandra My sister raised two piglets and learned to love them. Eventually, they were slaughtered for pork, she cried like a baby!

@kobesbuddy then we just have to agree it is good they go to heaven. I have had other wordly experiences and I know all our pets head on up so I assume so do all animals and they have a place all their own,

@LadyDuck I can understand that but actually I really did not mind, but it was amusing when we went to the Central Market which is always crowded and the looks on people's faces when he called me Ruksis. They probably thought he was talking about a pig running around the market

@CarolDM Currently I am in the process of going through all the uploaded photos on my PC so I am sure there will be more surprises. I mean particularly not memory photos but photos of say clouds - how many do you really need? It is a big project for me and when I stop writing I do this and it makes it interesting for me to see all those many photos,
