I´m thinking about making something with eggs.

Although eggs are not the least expensive protein now, they are still very delicious. I eat them in many ways and many people don´t belive that I can eat so many eggs in a week! One of my daughters told me that they were expensive now due to the flu but I myself believe more in a conspiratory thingy. Supermarkets and the like do what they can to earn more. In my country there was hardly any aviar flu and it had to do with sea birds. Anyway, meat is VERY expensive (except for chicken and I can´t eat chicken every day). I have a cauliflower but I can make a pudding tomorrow. Today I will make an omelette with odds and ends. I love to clean the fridge. I´ll tell you later what I put there. See you

I like a good egg salad sandwich besides just a hard boiled egg or deviled egg.

I like eggs a lot and I will eat a dozen of them in a week. I boiled a dozen of them three days ago. There are still four of them left in the fridge if you want some.

Me too. But I leave boiled eggs out of the fridge except during summer.

@marguicha I always put boiled eggs in the fridge as soon as I've peeled them. Bacteria start growing as soon as they're peeled. I'd rather not get sick when I can prevent it.

Eggs aren’t expensive now. They were for a few weeks. I have scrambled eggs every morning for breakfast.

I don´t eat them every morning because some days I want to have a couple as an omelette for lunch.

@marguicha I never eat eggs after breakfast unless I make egg salad or deviled eggs.

I have eggs several mornings per week. They are good protein. Plus I do put them in other things. I love omelets with veggies as well as a bit of meat if I have it handy. Eggs are just good food.

I've heard that the egg prices have increased a lot in some countries. That's bad since it shall not be an expensive food. Here the egg price remains similar. The pork and chicken are not expensive, but beef is usually very expensive.

Your daughter is right, even here in Europe they had to kill many hens because of avian flu and the eggs are now more expensive. Soon there will be more eggs because the young hens will start to lay again.

An omelette with lots of goodies sounds tasty. Our chickens have been decimated by the avian flu; and thousands have been killed.
