It is not always that we can depend on someone when we need a good back scratch. It is better to be independent and go for an efficient back scratcher. I use my bath loofa that has a handle and it serves both the purposes. A good back scratch does one get good relief. I have seen some go to a rough surface - may be a rough wall and scratch away their blues. I have scene elephants using a rough wall What is your secret?

I find it difficult to reach my shoulder blades. You are quite supple

I have a back scratcher made from bamboo as well as one made from metal that I use when I need a good scratch.

Won't the metal scratcher be a bit harsh on you?

@allknowing I'm careful when I use it. It has curled "fingers" so they aren't sharp against my skin.

@DaddyEvil Even then I somehow would not feel comfortable with a metal scratched. I am not 'thick skinned' (lol)

I don't use bath loofa. As to the back scratcher, in my grandma's time we had something which made from bamboo like the attached photo. It has an interesting name called "Don't Beg Anybody". Namely you don't have to ask others to scratch for you

I'm pretty limber so I usually am able to reach any area of my back that needs scratching.
