The photo was taken last August. While going through older photos I came across this one .... it totally explains why I can't see him at night. Too bad he's not a guard dog, thugs would never know where he was. I had a little point and shoot Nikon back in 2010 with which I would take pictures and videos of mom's kritters and whatever else was in her back yard and her turtles always interested me. So what do you think of the video of mom's turtles?

Yeah, they can be when they are afraid of something. Thanks, I'm hoping that by posting this pic we might actually get 2 or 3 drops of rain

@rebelann I've been watching the weather. They've increased the number of days that we might get rain. Now it's Sunday-Wednesday. Our plants need it!!! Have a good weekend.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully it'll rain as much as needed without causing any flooding.

Ohhh, his coloring does blend in with the land! Your mom's turtles . . . at that speed they would definitely beat the hare !

@rebelann Growing up, we had one - not sure if it was the same one. Yah, they sure know how to hide!

Many people were surprised whenever they'd visit and saw them run. He is so hard to see at night.
