Roast Pig.

This is common here. Roasting the whole pig just like that. We call it here Lechon Baboy. The bits and pieces Infront are those already cut and sliced. This usually comes with Lechon sauce (gravy). The skin is usually roast to perfection that is crispy and crunchy when you bite it. But I do not actually eat the skin. A lot of people are shock to know I do not like it because most people like that in lechon but I don't. Have you try this?

@rakski The small pig I ate in Portugal was very good. In Italy, in the region of Rome, they cook a whole big pig, deboned, roasted over wood, stuffed with garlic, rosemary, fennel, or other herbs. It is called "Porchetta" and it is delicious.

Not really eating it. Several years ago when I was still eating pork, I would really touch lichen because even then, it was not really something I enjoy.

Yeah, that's unexpected that you don't enjoy the skin. I enjoy eating them while they are crispy, but after they lose that crispiness, they are no longer good for me. Although many of us here consider this to be an all-time favorite, consuming excessive amounts might raise your cholesterol and lead to hypertension.

I have never tried roast pig like that, but I would certainly try it if it were offered at wherever it was I was eating. My dad did used to buy pig ears sold in pet stores for my former dog. The dog certainly liked them, but I heard these days they can sometimes be bad for dog's digestion.

I don't like lechon that much because most of the ones I tasted were not tasty especially the meat. I just like its crispy skin but most of the time, it is no longer crispy. I prefer lechon manok, or beef, but it's too expensive.

Yes, the juiciest and most delicious part is the skin of the lechon baboy, But of course, this does not apply to all people, Some people, like you, find the meaty part most delicious.
