The Rain Came

Finally, last night the rain came. Rain, thunder and lightening most of the night. I didn’t know the power went off until this morning when I saw the electric clock wasn’t right. I think we’ll have more rain throughout the week and thats great. It will take several rains for the creek to rise. It’s cool today. I thought about wearing a sweater but didn’t and I did get a little cool but that was okay. The sun has come out once in awhile but heavy clouds keep rolling over. I’m about t walk down the creek to see if the waters any higher. Probably not. I think it will take more than last nights rain to make a difference. Hope all of you got a good rain last night.

Yes, we got rain overnight as well. I was surprised we still had a light rain this morning, with a temperature of 63 degrees as well. As I'm writing this, I can hear the thunder again. I hope your power doesn't go out again tonight if the rain sticks around.

The rain held off today, it might come again tonight. Luckily I didn’t know my power went out last night until I looked at the clock. We still need more rain. I hope you don’t get too much.

We also had thunderstorms and pouring rain during the whole night. It is still raining now and the temperature has dropped.

@RubyHawk We have to go out this morning, I was concerned when I got up at 5, it was raining and so dark. It's 8 a.m. now and the sun is shining.

We had a good downpour during the night but that seems to be it for now. I thought it might rain more today but it hasn’t yet.

We did get rain Saturday night, but not Sunday. It was quite cool today and cloudy, but I like it this way. I wore a light jacket, to stay warm enough.

It's still really hot here. We had thunderstorms yesterday and Sunday but it doesn't seem to have cooled it down any.

We received some good rain and a couple of thunderclaps that shook the house! Our flower bed needed the rain badly; but now a ton of weeds are popping up!!! Have a great day.

The rain has been hit or miss here tha last couple of days. Typical Florida summer weather patterns, where it’s basically a 50% chance of rain every day. I always look forward to those afternoon thunderstorms just to give us a break from the heat, but of course then the humidity shoots sky high.

@RubyHawk We got hammered last night with some majorly bad storms. It was some of the outflow from the bad storms that were up your way yesterday. I had trouble sleeping last night because the storms were so bad.

@moffittjc It’s a little scary at night when the thunders rolling and lightening flashing, but I’d rather it storm during the night than day. If the power goes off you aren’t aware of it.
