15 June - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. I know I haven't been here as I planned. I see I didn't miss payday.
It was a good day. I spent most of it working on Guns of War. I got one chapter done. It's slow going working on the laptop.
I'm thankful for Canasta. It was another day where I was ahead the entire game to lose in the last hand.
I'm thankful I got a notification and a text about a birthday package received for one of our myLot friends. She loved what I sent her.
I tried to be here, but the laptop is dragging. I ordered a new power cord for it. I keep getting a message that it's the wrong cord. I don't know why it would be wrong or why Dell would sell the wrong cord with the laptop. Anyway, it's ordered and hopefully, when I get it, the laptop won't be so slow.
That's my day. I'll try to get here tomorrow and get more done. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

@GardenGerty This time it was the silliest thing. I had seen a bug near my "patio" screen door. So after getting my Botox for migraines (ironic) I went to the store, and bought natural, non toxic, safe for pets bug spray. I gave it one spritz, and the spear of pain through the right side of my head was immediate. To my surprise, it lasted 3 days, and unfortunately now I'm out of migraine pills until June 24th. I can still buy them individually, thank the Lord, but I have to pay out of pocket.
That's way more than you wanted to know; I'm sorry.

I love that you have an outdoor space. I am not happy with my laptop, but that is how it has to be for a while. I am thankful the first week of summer school is over

I got paid, too. For a minute there, when I logged in to the site, I was confused that my account had dropped to below a dollar, then I remembered we passed payday yesterday and I hadn't noticed.

There are many reasons why a laptop would lag. Power isn't usually one of them. Anyway I hope a new power cord helps. How long have you had the laptop? And, how often does it typically get used?
That being said: I'm thankful for all the much-needed rain and thunderstorms we had last night and today.

I'm not sure how old it is. I got it since I moved in here, so under two years. I haven't used it much because I like the desktop more. Now, I no longer have that option. The cord is the right one, but it's probably a faulty one.

Mike has had the same problem with his older laptop. Bought a new cord. It was working well until a storm knocked out the power. Now it is giving him that same message again. Luckily he has another that he uses too.
Sorry that you lost in the end at Canasta.
I am thankful for the shower that went through about an hour ago. Nothing strong, just some rain.
