The photo shows Meow Cat, a black fluffy cat that resides at our latest house-sit. Isn’t he a beauty? The other cat, Charlie, has already been written about here. He is more or less white and even fluffier than Meow Cat.
Meow Cat seems a funny name to me but that’s okay. Have you had a cat with a strange name? We had one called Cefa once (Cee for cat). But that’s probably about the most unusual.
One name that I loved and thought was very clever was Don Quixote. This was a donkey (Donkey Oti) which is pretty obvious once you think about it.

My brother brought home a young cat when he came home at Christmas and wasn't going back. The other 3 guys were going to abandon her - I've got to say, my brother really went up a few notches in my opinion that day. Those clever boys named her "Cat."

The cat looks cool ! Its eyes are in stark contrast to its black fluff.

I had a litter of kittens that I named 1, 2, 3 and 4 one time.

Friends used to have two cats simply called 'Black cat' and 'Grey cat'.
Other friends had a dog called 'Skyli' from the Greek Skylos meaning dog.
And I remember an Iranian colleague had a dog and a cat and I'm sure they were simply named 'dog' and 'cat' in a different language, although I'm not sure what - I've just looked up dog and cat in Farsi and they don't seem to be at all familiar.

@BarBaraPrz I thought so too. When we reared pet lambs on the farm (and we raised dozens), they were never eaten.

I have named cats strange names over the years, but nothing that stands out. Meow Cat looks velvety soft and almost as big as Bruno.

I used to have one named Fluffdaddy. I didn't name him. I inherited him. He was named for Sean Combs music artist now known as P Diddy, but was Puffdaddy back in the day.

He is a handsome fellow but looks rather mean. Looking at the photo of Meow Cat and of @evilamericans Emoci and adding a photo of my Morticia they could start a black and white and black cat club. Then add in my Freddie who is black and white and there you have it a cat layer cake,

I love Meow Cat's name. He's a beauty for sure. All our dogs have had Norwegian names (for Norwegian dogs) except our two Pomeranians.

Love Donkey Oti. That's like naming a van Go...
Meow Cat doesn't look impressed with you taking his photo.
