Wonderful Auction

First I got 3 boxes of brownies. Yummy. Then I watched my cherries sell for 7.50 a quart. 
. I didn't worry about how much my hanging baskets sold for after that. I know I will have at least 30 dollars next week. Towards the end of the auction I got some cucumbers. I have been wanting some.
I gave the lady her stools today. Her husband was insisting on paying us for them. We just wanted hugs. But finally agreed to take some deer summer sausage that he has in the freezer. I love deer meat. He is going to have that Tuesday. My friend will keep mine until Friday as hubby has his appointment on Tuesday so we won't be at the auction.
It has rained off and on all day. So we know we won't be mowing this weekend. We will be playing catch up with the yard again by the time we can mow. At least I didn't need to water anything outside.
We also picked up 2 bundles of firewood for the neighbor that mowed for us. He already said he will let us know when he has a bonfire with it. That was cheap for how much yard he mowed for us. If I had hired someone it would have been at least fifty dollars. Probably more.
I got my yarn today so I didn't need to start a new project. It got delivered just in time.

It sounds like you did really well at the auction. Congrats!
If it doesn't rain tonight, I will have to go out and work in the yard tomorrow... The grass/weeds are up to mid-calf now. Granted, that's in the back yard but it still needs to be mowed.

I was very happy. I should have picked more

I'm glad you did so well at the auction. Sounds like you have quite a few friends there. Hoping it rains tomorrow. We got our yard mowed on Friday; so we're good for a while. The guy across the street said he couldn't mow our yard this year; so we had to find someone else. A landscaping company is doing it for $50 a week. Expensive but we didn't have any choice. Have a good weekend.

It seems you had a fun and productive day. Funny, when you said before what the cherries sold for, I thought of one of my cousins, back in the 70's he sold 2-gallon containers of fresh cherries for $1, and people of course thought that was just wildly ridiculous! Oh, how times have changed!

You've had an amazing day. Sounds a lot like hubby 10 or 15 years ago. He's 65 and with his heart surgery he has slowed down a whole lt.
